I was at the Sprint store today asking if they could look at my 2 year old Palm Pre after it's been dropped on the concrete several times when the young salesmen ended up selling me a new phone instead. They said that I'm an "oldtimer" who was using obsolete technology. Well, I happen to like that old Palm, but looks like I'll have to get used to touchscreen and other kinds of gee whiz things. They even set the phone up so I can get these things they kept calling "apps" apparently for free. I cannot imagine what use I have for apps and how it will make my life any better than APC.

Kids are all hopeless.
