From The National Driver Registry | OFFICIAL Forms Website - Home

"Here are three things you NEED to know about the National Driver Registery and your records that will save you both time and frustration!

1. The National Driver Register only provides you with the State or States that have your records and the status of your driver license.

2. The National Driver Register does not have the content of the records. Only your name, Date of Birth and the States in which you have had your license revoked or suspended.

3. You must have the State records to regain your driving privileges.

What does this mean? This means that in addition to your National Driver Registry record, you will need to obtain your state driving record in order to know why your license has been revoked or suspended."

From National Driver Register | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)...

"NDR is a computerized database of information about drivers who have had their licenses revoked or suspended, or who have been convicted of serious traffic violations such as driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs. State motor vehicle agencies provide NDR with the names of individuals who have lost their privileges or who have been convicted of a serious traffic violation."

If a background check reveals a speeding ticket, the source of the information was not the National Driver Register.
