I'll also point out that is the real reason the attitude indicator is on the far right......so you could look at it and see the other instruments "through" it. True, actually found it in an old Cessna or Edwards document (cant remember which) when I was on the ATC Stan Eval team.
Tweet IPs also had to take their instrument checks from the right seat looking cross cockpit. To this day, I'll watch the Capts instruments when I'm the PM, old habits die hard
