Best advice I can give - do not lie on your application! Even if you are not intending to lie, many people are doing things that they interpret as not being truthful. One of the questions "Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket." It's a VERY simple question. It does not say "Do you have a ticket on record?" or "Do you have any tickets that were not expunged?" It just asks if you have ever gotten one.
Also, they ask if you have ever received any adverse training examination. Failure of a part 141 checkride or stage check is good enough for failure for them even if it is not part 61.
We started with 11 in our group, ended with 6. 5 people were sent home. Now one thing, before it used to be a bit more serious. I think they are hurting for pilots more and more now. Before it was reapply in 6 months. Then 90 days. Then people with paperwork errors were told "Fix it and call us for a reschedule" and then they would fly them back to interview again!
My other advice is in addition to all the gouges, know your aircraft. Know key numbers, speeds, systems, etc. This is a big gotcha for people who sat right seat in something just to log the time.
Good luck if you are interviewing. Great group of people. Hopefully go to review board soon.
Snipper,
thank bro. I appreciate ur feedback.
Is there actually such a question: Have you ever got a speeding ticket? at the airline apps? So I should simply stated the speeding tickets that I was not found responsible for too? What about parking tickets? I got one too? is that infraction? thx.
