FDX Vacation question
Does FedEx remove trips from a regular line holder's schedule at the time of award? I think they do as I've seen trips appear in open time at award time. The contract states, "A regular line holder shall be removed from a trip(s) in conflict with his vacation period (as awarded or slid) or vacation expansion." I'm trying to bid smart and plan on sliding my vacation 5 days to the right to match when I'm away. I wouldn't mind working during that 5 day period, but I think I'll be removed from any trips then as awarded even though I could have slid the vacation off the trip to keep it.
Example: I have vacation 15-21st. I get awarded a trip that ends on 17. I slide my vacation +5 so 20-26th. I'm already removed from that awarded trip prior to the slide.
Is my interpetation correct?
