Yes. Be very careful. I had a very disappointing encounter with crew scheduling a few weeks ago. They were trying to play "gotcha" when I was clearly trying to help them out and do the right thing. Sadly, it appears to be a different mentality in crew scheduling these days. Be careful out there.
Just don't talk to them. Let them leave a message, acknowledge on a computer. If what you see on the computer is shennanigans, call someone like some sense, like a Duty Pilot or CPO.
One of the schedulers likes to curse and make very provocative statements. I simply wont talk to her and dawg gone'it, my cellphone always drops her calls. Going to have to have that thing checked ... . My keyboard also shorts out and puts APD days and pay back days in the middle of 9 days of availability. Don't know why that happens.
Delta is a great place to work. Even more so, if once you learn the rule that First Officers can exist quite happily while only conversing with those who either feed them, or who hold a valid ATP Certificate. Let the Captain deal with the bufoonery.
