I checked the FedEx application website last week, and contrary to some information posted here on APC, there is no mention of a requirement to take the FE written within the past 24 months. All that is stated is that a valid FE written is required, which under the FARS could have theoretically been taken many many years ago. So.....if an applicant has never been to this forum, and instead follows the instructions provided directly by FedEx, then there would be no way to know about any requirement for an FE written within the past 24 months. So FedEx has created this confusion, not the applicants.

How can FedEx penalize someone for being unaware of information that was not provided or available? Not everyone has an informed sponsor, or frequents APC. If an applicant completes a profile with an FE written result that is more than 24 months old, it does not necessarily indicate a lack of integrity, and it would be ridiculous to penalize someone for this.

If FedEx is so concerned about FE written exam dates, then they should make the requirements very clear in the information that is publicly available to ALL applicants via the official FedEx pilot application web site. As far as I know, APC is not the official source of FedEx application requirements (although perhaps it should be! )

Good luck to all, regardless of when you took the FE written!
