If you don't want to taxi fast, that's fine, but be courteous to those behind you with a schedule to keep, or who are late, or don't want to ride the brakes all the way to the runway.
Given the five min warmups we have on our motors, even with no one waiting, we are barely ready when we get down to the end of the runway.
No one rides their brakes to the end of the runway. The only time the Captain will ride the breaks is on a cross-bleed start of the second engine and that is for about 40 seconds.
You are more than welcome to ask to taxi around all of the Deltoids in ATL, lets see how far that gets you. I know the LGA controller just laugh about that request.
