I agree that our guys are sick and tired, of being sick and tired. I am saddened at the number of folks who rabidly pursue flying on days off at straight pay. I certainly understand the realities of living on post-bankruptcy pay, but after awhile the company will plan, man, and budget extra flying at straight pay.

It is important to be rested, refreshed, and renewed for this profession.....without these elements we will not live to enjoy retirement for very long. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

If we live one seat below what we can hold, it reduces the necessity to chase flying on days off......in the meantime, it will help for C2012, for the company to man properly and pay a penalty for relying on day off flying to operate the system.......I realize this is a very simplistic view to a complex issue. How about the old NW system of 150-200% for all flying over X credit hours, or day off flying.....at least something like that.

Regards to all,
