ALPA waived American Eagle's Section 1 (pretty much all of it) for a flow through to no where. The deal was signed by the contract compliance chair, not the MEC Chair and despite the major change, no membership ratification.
The idea that an MEC administration can make material changes to a contract without MEMRAT keeps me up at night.
Those of you who think "who cares about Eagle" don't understand pattern bargaining. Think to when you first heard about a "76 seat scope grievance settlement" and how much pilot input there was on that deal.
Hey I tried to put up a resolution that would change the policy manual, but the guy in the room did not like it.
Most in the room felt that the reps should be given the latitude to do what they do, which is represent us. If you do not like that, there is a LEC44 meeting on Aug 8th.
