Not seeing the need and beauty in commercial air travel by the public is some of the problem. Most just don't get it because it is a higher priced disposable product hampered by taxes, legislation and the TSA (actually it's the terrorist fault).
That was a little jab at some Alaska Airlines 'friends' who complain that Virgin America is undercutting Alaska Airlines and regularly preach the evils of one airline undercutting another.
