Yes it was! And if it weren't for that income, FedEx probably wouldn't have made it through the last quarter. Not to mention the purchase of all those shinny new Triple Sevens. If you were one of the guys who "paid" that $75, all I can say is "Thanks!"

Seriously, none of the pilots at FedEx like the idea of our company charging an application fee, however, most recognize that there is an inherent cost to the process of bringing a new-hire on board, and therefore understand that, especially in today's market, said fee is a cost of doing business, both for the company as well as the pilot applicant. To understand the value of that "fee", just ask any of the guys who have been hired in the past few months. I'd bet that they think it was the best $75 they ever spent.
