ALPA didn't throw the TWA pilots under the bus; they did it all by themselves, rather than face almost certainty of being thrown over the cliff of liquidation. If anything, their predicament proves the core problem of airline based seniority systems, rather than some type of portable seniority, but I won't even open up that can of worms again.

I am completely at a loss in trying to grasp exactly what benefit the Delta pilots get by having ALPA represent us. They failed the TWA pilots, they are failing the Air Tran pilots, and they have a track record of poor performance at Delta (IMHO).
Have you read who was responsible for AirTran's apparent pathetic Scope language? Hint: it wasn't ALPA. Blaming ALPA for their predicament is like blaming the NYC Fire Department for the World Trade Centers falling.

I'm a dead-zoner too. And ALPA is FAR from perfect, but their track record far exceeds the law firm associated with the alternative union, imo.
USAPA proved that. NWA AMFA proved that. And now, unfortunately for our AirTran brethren, AirTran is proving that...
