I'm a Nov 2010 Hire, I was supposed to get a hard line in June (that what it said the alpa excel sheet in January). We are in August and I still don't hold a line yet.

Things changes from time to time, don't pick a base or equipment because rsv time will be "shorter". Guys in Feb Class have lines in the CRJ already in ORD, but in the last couple of classes there haven't been CRJ slots available. So the last couple of guys will be in reserve more time that they expected.

Pick the base and equipment in base of your necessities. NO or short commute will be your primary goal, even if you sit reserve for almost a year like me. BTW I'm in ORD EMJ, in the top 20 in the RSV list so I get almost whatever I want.
This is spot on advice, just keep in mind I was not looking long term out with what I posted, just what worked out. If you were in JFK MIA DFW EMJ or any CRJ or ATR base you would be off RSV. Only places you would be on RSV still are ORD LGA AND LAX EMJ.
