It's called Control Wheel Steering (
CWS) in a Boeing. You can easily identify the buttons.
They're labeled "CWS" ....

Hey RCD73;.... Would you mind showing me where that there "CWS" button is on a Boeing 757, 767 or 777. I've been looking all week-end and can't find 'em. Just flew a "Triple" back across the pond and none of us could locate that damn button ! Hmmm.
The only "CWS" I've ever seen on a Boeing was on the 737-200, which actually
did have Control Wheel Steering.
I think you've been listening to the wrong group of friends or just don't know jack...
