Dude, this is the worst advice I have ever herd. Do not listen to this guy clearly he has no idea what he is talking about. Get your app out there do not go by the published mins especially at a time like this. In my new hire class of 30 people I would say at least 70% of us did not meet the published mins including myself. You will never know if you don't try !!
Next time why don't you try to be somewhat respectful when you start typing away at that keyboard.
