I bet he bid higher than normal in order to get the pilot group and ALPA to cave on concessions that they don't need. If Mesa is suppose to be the lowest cost operator, then why was Mesa not able to compete with the Skywest bid even to operate them at a loss that would be equal to or lower than Skywest?..
