"No buck, no Buck Rogers seems about right to me." There wouldn't be an NFL without football players, there wouldn't be an MLB without baseball players...imagine an airline without pilots?
Two things:
First, it seems to me if DALPA wants to fight a Terry mindset all they need to do is ask "hey, do you like what we've got going here? You know, DAL+DALPA forever? Because they think we're in bed with you and they're trying to vote us out. So unless you want the DPA representing the pilots I hope you get your act together, shutup, and start capitulating."
I won't hold my breath.
Second, equal pay for equal work. There is no reason why Delta should be paying its female and minority pilots $50,000 sometimes $60,000 LESS than Southwest is paying their pilots to do the same job.
Now Terry, have times changed? Absolutely. Nobody is willing these days watch a company, whether its based in the South or not, pay it's female and minority pilots HALF of what a smaller discount airline is more than willing to pay it's pilots FOR THE SAME JOB.
Shame.
