Delta's APU can be deferred and the aircraft restricted to 120 ETOPS, assuming the HMG works normally. I know this from experience!
Delta however prohibits dispatch form the US outbound with the APU inop. The MEL allows operations in either direction however Delta is more restrictive. Almost all other airlines allow dispatch both ways without a APU.
