The difference between Frontier and Virgin America is that Delta's labor costs currently allow Delta to pay Republic/Frontier, and in fact continue to grow that partnership. The downside for you is that even though Frontier could not stand on its own due to SWA/Unical, that nice little (and ever expanding) subsidy given to shuttle america/chataqua on a FFD basis is enough to keep that sinking ship afloat.

As far as my personal angle, I have no desire to work for a company which lacks the scope/spine to prevent their management's subsidizing of failed competitors. It is absolutely in my best interest to see that resolved regardless of where I decide to hang my hat. Got me all figured out now, don't ya?!
