Either case You, Us...Delta Pilots...DPA, DALPA...are losing flying and everything with it. Bla Bla about their feeding our international thourgh SEA, PDX, SFO, LAX... what ever...humor as necessary... Alaska is a good airline, but just buy them and staple!
I think the way to look at it is Alaska does a better job than we do at what we do. Why else replace us? We're not as good.

In fact, for some reason when it comes to the domestic side of our operation we can't do our number one mission as cheap as the regional pilot or as good as the Alaska 737 pilot. We're not that good evidently, according to the powers that be.

So I propose a 12% pay cut in hourly wages in C2012.
Just pay us for duty hours and we'll create some regs for it but I'm thinking I'm willing to work a minimum average of 9 duty hours per day and average as much as 6 flight hours per day on average!
And look, I know we suck so bad the less we come to work the better, so reserve pilots, who suck the most, we'll come to work no more than 14 days a month. If you're desperate, we can if we chose come to work 16 days a month. But only if we agree to bring our general suckiness to work and only do so a limited number of times.

As far as scope? Look, you can keep everything you have with 3 stipulations:
1) they cannot fly in Delta colors whatsoever,
2) if a DCI contract is renewed pilots get a 1% pay increase for every 51 seater and above,
3) DCI carriers have to buy their own fuel.
I'll sleep on it and if I can think of anything else I'll give up I'll post it. My expectations have been managed, I've been beaten. After all it was 2 vs 1. 12% cut, swap to duty hour pay, we'll come to work less and suck less each month, some scope rules but they're not very big or noticeable.

Tell the board.

Thanks,
