I don't know who is hiring in 2012 but I know who can answer all your questions. For a modest fee Air Inc or Jet Jobs or whatever they call themselves these days will tell you all about the coming Pilot shortage.

I know because they told me all about the coming Pilot shortage in the late 90's. They told my father about the coming pilot shortage in the 60's. As a matter of fact I heard they were at Kitty hawk and talked about the upcoming Pilot shortage with Orville and Wilbur.

Seriously, the best you can do is look at who is hiring today - in the aviation business there really is no "foreseeable future" there is yesterday, today, and we don't know.
