They would be stupid to walk away from a money maker, and the owners are not stupid. If they want to stop playing airline owner, they would sell awac and pocket the cash.
The Money Maker is the ground handling part of AWAC....the Airline itself is a Liability...
I think the mechanics finally got a TA after some 5-6 years of negotiating....the FA's and Pilots are still up....ask yourself this question....if you were an owner...2 of your major employee groups have contracts up for renewal and they want more money....yet your airlines contract ends with US Air in 2015 and you've already quadrupled your initial investment....wouldn't you walk away??
Rankin has told crews that they are losing 6-7 air frames because the leases are up in 2012-13
MGMT Pilots have left or have stepped down from their positions....Its a sinking ship....Abandon it...or Go down with it....your choice
