Yeah, I considered that, but the next flight would have DH'd into JFK at 3:00 AM and I didn't want to spend the night in a chair before flying back across country two legs in the AM.

Nice! Start talking politics with them... or better yet, tell them what your route is. And yes, you do get scared sometimes flying that airplane and you aren't sure what all the buttons do in the cockpit. You're just the copilot though, someday you'll get the big man's seat and get to fly!
