Like you I've been trying to figure out how VA conducts its hiring and recruiting? How do they do it? My conclusion is they simply exploit their employees. They pay industry standard First Officer wages to their Captains and pay their First Officers RJ pay. Just look at their pay rates.

Not sure if they still do...but they used to make you pay for your hotel during training. Do yourself a favor and stir clear...
