Maybe it's just me, but this move by Delta mgmt almost seems like a calculated poke in the eye against their pilots and ALPA. Contracting with a company started expressly to circumvent an ALPA contract, whose formation resulted in ALPA pilots being furloughed, staffed by pseudo-scabs who gleefully took the job knowing full well they were climbing over the backs of TSA pilots...how can that be anything other than a message? The message is "we will outsource every single seat we think we can get away with, and you are powerless to do a thing about it." GJ can't be much cheaper than ASA/Skywest, not enough to justify another DCI. This was a shot across the bow of anyone thinking scope restoration in 2012.
It shows how little they actually care about their product. Unbelievable.
Scope restoration needs to be priority 1 in the next contract.
