Mediation is mandatory between SWAPA and ALPA. You won't see SWAPA putting forward the same plan that GK drew up. That offer is gone. I'd prefer negotiated as well, I'm saying that the odds of something more favorable for either of us in mediation isn't good. Why would SWAPA negotiate anything with AirTran's team when the MEC believes that they can just say no to another AIP and use it as a baseline for future negotiations? That's negotiating in bad faith. If the AIP wasn't good enough for you, there really isn't any point in mediation. You have a certain expectation of what you deserve, I understand that.

It would have done a lot of good for both sides to be able to pass a negotiated agreement. That can't happen if the negotiations are a fraud.
