I keep chuckling when I read guys posting how a pilot shortage will lead to higher wages at the regional because they'll be short on pilots. Nope, this is what will happen.
I predict wages will go down and you'll see guys paying for training in the regionals.
RAHs BB has the same vision. I agree with the above poster that a national seniority list will solve the issues of having a lowest bidder.
But $60k, is that even enough to cover training costs? Who will invest in flight training knowingly that airline wages will never be restored?
