No offense was intended, and I'm sorry if you feel that way. But I really do think you will see a QOL enhancement once these are implemented. Clearly you have much more 121 experience than I do, but I don't really see what that has to do with using iPads as EFBs. I've worked in a department that used them, therefore I have experience with how useful they are in the cockpit. It seems like a win-win for you and your company, but apparently you don't feel that way. Once this does go through (or I guess, if it does...), I would be interested to see how you feel about it after you've had some time to transition over. Anyway, I'm out...
I apologize for my tone, and please don't let me being a bumhole keep you from contributing. I get hyper sensitive to comments suggesting I should be happy or satisfied with the scraps the company occasionally drops. It's really too bad that we've become as jaded a group as we have, but after getting railroaded for a decade straight, the rose colored glasses are off. Hopefully we get a decent contract someday and I'll be able to look at things with a little less anger.
I will let you know how the iPad integration goes once we get familiar. I see potential there with wifi in the future. Hopefully the bean counters do to.
