Oh they're out there. I wish the survey would be published. Or at least tell us #1 and #2 and #3 priority results. That way we know if the TA put out in 2015* is actually what the pilot group wants. If I saw the survey and 63% said scope relief to 99 seats is fine then you can't really be angry at the union when the TA has such scope relief language for a small pay raise of 5% yoy.

However, we should if such a TA comes out invite Luvjockey and any SWA... or better yet AirTran... pilots to the crewroom to point and laugh. Even encourage it over the radio. Maybe even pass yourself off as SWA and say something to the airplane going by. Ridicule at that point might be the only option left.

But bluejuice, any chance your particular cockpit mate was just trying to be an (expletive)? Kind of like when you fly with someone that has to get the final word in (like a Canadian ATC controller) or just takes the opposite view of whatever you say no matter how insignificant the topic.

Next time remember to mention that you want to push for the age 60 rule in the contract and when you're coming into the airport and assigned 250, put 251 or 249 in the speed window.

*I say 2015, to rant about the RLA process. It has nothing to do with whether we vote in the DPA and things are delayed or delayed to 2015 because we didn't vote out ALPA.
