I don't know what kind of flight schools you're talking about but the ones I know of couldn't find or keep instructors. Regionals were having trouble finding qualified pilots willing to work for the crap pay.n eagle was hiring people below mins, sending them to jet courses at FLight Safty so they had a better shot at passing training.

The regionals will be SOL once the majors do start hiring and the regional ranks start to dry up. The risk vs reward to getting in this industry isn't there anymore, the credit market is crapped (can't get the loans like before), and learning to fly has only gone up in cost getting further and further out of reach for joe shmoe. Combine that with new mandated hiring standards coming for 121 applicants the shift will be back to mainline flying and addition flow up agreements, watch
