The short, undetailed version is this. Years back Hulas Konodia who owns TranStates wanted to operate 70 seat jets in addition to the 50 seaters they had. The TSA pilot contract required that new rates be negotiated. HK didn't want to negotiate so he found an operating certificate, bought it, & started an alter ego airline to operate the 70 seaters at the rates he chose. TSA pilots lost the chance at growth and watched TSA brethren leave TSA for GoJet thereby breaking unity and essentially spitting in their pilot groups face.
You see, those who chose to draw a line in the sand to stop the race to the bottom were essentially punished.
So, Basically there was a group of pilots who broke the Unity at TSA & joined GoJet.... Did pilots from other places also join GOJET back then???
Hulas Konodia got what he wanted to achieve back then, DIVIDE & RULE...
