You can asked to be passed for a class or two (highly NOT recommended because seniority plays a big part on QOL). The difference between being on reserve for a while or holding a line sooner can be as little as one class, but you might have other things that might not allow you to be at class. Make sure you are upfront with them, so you don't burn any bridges. As far as seniority, you will get your number assigned on the first day of class (by age).
