IMO, management having anything to do with the SLI discussions is a big mistake. How they will come off to the AT pilots as anything other than an overreaching step-parent who favors their own kid and only begrudgingly takes you into their house because they have to, I don't know.
It's not really what I would call a true "welcome aboard."
Whatever you want to say about Delta's management, they seemed to stay out of the NWA/DAL negotiations and 6-8 months we had a seniority list. A little more than a year later, we were flying in the same cockpits.
We'll see how long it takes SWA to combine operations, but I doubt if it's that fast. But, it seems as though there will definitely be some therapy needed.
