Socalflyboy, it didn't used to be that way. Shared benefits and shared sacrifice was the way unions USED to be. And as much as people disparage SWAPA, that's exactly the way they are. If the block hours are lean, everyone takes a small pay hit to keep everyone on property. When times are good, all of the pilots feast at the same table.
I have my theories on why that honor is gone but it'd probably draw a lot of ire from the non ex-mil crowd.
