I'm having a little trouble following this.

Inactive pilots (furloughed) don't pay dues anyway...at least, that's my understanding.

I don't quite understand why all the funk about representation when furloughed pilots are classified as inactive, do not get to vote for office or contract, and, by definition of being furloughed, are not a member of a council and therefore not represented anyway. Active pilots are unlikely to shepherd furloughed issues to a great degree since the furloughed pilots in question are not on property, not paying dues, and don't vote on any issue until recalled or otherwise (CAL offer?).

Am I missing something?...I am kind of old.
