The younger generation does have to ask, because they grew up in a system where college and universities turn a blind eye to cheating (so long ad it's not obvious).... So why should we be surprised when they don't know the basics of the profession for which they hold a degree, and when they ask if it is ok to lie.
They are learning from the older folks. Look at the ever growing list of crooked CEO's, business folk, and politicians that seem to end up in the media weekly.
