These displacements are reaching deep and every indication is that the Saab positions are going to migrate further and further down the list as there are plenty of guys senior to us who want the jet. Look at where the new hires are going. We may or may not have enough junior guys to us on the jet right now, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to go take the displacement to JFK CRJ, and then as soon as you finish that training, get REdisplaced to the Saab as the 100+ Saab FOs above us get displaced into CRJ spots. We don't have 100 guys junior to us on the jet. So basically at that point you will have spent over 6 straight months in training only to be right back where you started. I may be totally wrong here, and this is just one possibility I see, but it's going to be tough for any of us to hold down a seat anywhere until this shakes out and everyone above us settled into where they want.
One thing's for sure, the cost of having to train multiple groups of pilots on multiple aircraft in the same year is going to really hurt the bottom line and there are already guys from our class it's happening to.
