A while after I upgraded I heard that several companies refuse to recognize the time since you're not responsible for the aircraft. During interviews two regionals told me they wouldn't have taken the time, even if it had been logged as SIC.
People think it's all fancy to grab that turbine PIC as early as they can, but unless you're signing the paperwork and putting your ass on the line for the flight, you may find that logging that time comes back to bite you.
I've thought about that so what I'm just going to do is grab the necessary piston time over the mins in case it comes up. My feelings on the matter are a bit swayed as I can see where they come from, but if the FAA says it's legal why should they make a big deal out of it? The flights in this case are all Pt. 91 and I've been reading the POH front to back in case questions arise on the interview. If my butt is logging PIC I better damn well know how the plane operates.
