You work at Colgan. Have you tried moving to one with higher pay, better work rules, and a higher QOL? It's kinda like some jail prisoner telling me freedom sucks. Not bashing Colgan per se, but there are places that do offer much more. You just have to get your hours first which isn't really a big deal if you just CFI and not try to cut corners.
