But if you have a bust during your 121 time, that's a little more sticky. Is it a show stopper either way? Hell no! I know two guys with busts in 121 events and moved on to great carriers. One guy busted his upgrade, the other busted a type ride on new equipment.

You must be willing to talk openly about it during the interview, own what you did, and describe how your behavior changed from then on.

And the traffic tickets? Again, just be honest and talk about that stuff, we've all had 'em, no biggie.

The one thing that strikes me is; do you have your CFI? Correct me if I'm wrong, but in gleaning your posts, I didn't hear you mention that. Granted, it's a huge commitment to take on if you don’t' have it yet, but I'd really look into getting that cert. Again, you can make it happen without it, but almost any airline HR dept. is going to lean towards the pilots who were CFI's. You get on with a decent school and you could be flying your tail off. Although I should be honest, my intel on the current CFI job market/flying is pretty out dated.

But if nothing else, keep flying and getting that time in the log book! Good luck!
Thanks for the advise but at the moment I can't afford a cfi cert and will have to manage without one. I have heard of a few company that are hiring below what they publish so I send a few resumes out there, it just a matter of waiting.
