The only reason I asked is because the drive time, to a different city, is so long that it counts as duty time (whereas normal, local rides don't). So I thought it might get special consideration [what was I thinking

The other guy will probably deviate too. Sure wish I could use some of that $2K excess bank this month to buy a measly $150 ride to DOV next month.
