As far as I know, deadheading means to be put onto a flight as a passenger during duty time by your airline (usually in uniform) in order to get to an airport where you are supposed to fly out of. Some airlines pay this, others don't. I think this is the correct answer, not sure though as I am only a student in Germany myself...
