Don't you just love DALPA's template? The fact that they even talk about how to express a single digit pay rate increase is ridiculous enough. But what example do they use for a two digit pay rate increase?...12%! Not 50%, not 80%? What about how to input a three digit desire?
Carl, you must not think much of your fellow pilots. Do you
really think any of us would be swayed by the sample number in the explanation? I'm thinking that 99.99% of us wouldn't be affected.
I don't see that it's a big deal to have the option of a single digit answer. There may be some (misguided) guys out there that want to enter a low number; they should understand how to do that.
There are (or will be) plenty of things to get spun up over during Section 6 negotiations; this isn't one of them.
