Either way, all of that pales in comparison to our shiney new TA. I don't think any new hires have been made aware of the new contract that is getting ready to be passed and the implications.
Among other things: we are getting a pay cut. Basically all ERJ pilots in the bottom 100 of the seniority list, including any future new hires will be paid ATR rates. Also, no yearly IAI increases since Eagle now claims that pilots somehow "owe" the company money. Did I mention that Eagle is also going to start parking the ATRs and 140/135s?
To those on the bottom of the seniority list...I would keep your resume fresh.
Did you read carefully what they proposed????????
Every captain stays in it current pay unless, they move to other equipment, then the new seniority pay will affect them. So until that happen, a guy that started a CRJ training today will have CRJ pay unless he moves to other plane.
Other than that, NY and LAX guys will be happy with the EMB 145 payment since most of them just fly 135 and 140 which is a pay increase.
The IAI for this next year will be removed just for the CAPTAINS since they will have a pay increase. FOs will still get the IAI increase in january.
I will probably vote no for this agreement, but who knows if management accepts or no??
Just fly, do your work and when something happens then get worried.
