For what its worth, Acey actually has historical context and pays homage to the company's origins. Asa Candler (which is where "Acey" came from) was responsible for the success of Coca-Cola, was Atlanta's mayor, and Candler Field (now Hartsfield-Jackson) was named after him. There was a period of time in which the FAA required ASA to change their callsign, and we were briefly "Candler," and we thus have used Asa's first and last names for callsigns. I think its pretty cool. I'm a huge history buff, though.
Wait, Asa Candler is a real person's name? They took Asa and came up with Atlantic Southeast Airlines out of it? So this Asa guy started up this airline?
