You'll find UA has a tough time saying no too. 80% said yes to our last POS though I've never met one. Seems I've only talked contract to the 20% no voters.

Actually it appears that the
opposite might work much better. Having a unified group of 737 F/O's at CAL that can all walk away at anytime without risking seniority numbers or recall rights with UAL might be way more helpful. This group of pilots will see the potential for leverage greatly increase as their numbers increase. This could be a real game changer going forward, and the company knows it.
So if you really want to take one for the team, being part of the battle ready UAL mafia at CAL might just be the ticket!
