C12K is a an emotional and angst ridden topic. We have a contract comparison that is skewed towards airlines and data that doesn't reflect all of our competitors. It is missing data on KLM/AF, and that information will not materialize, if it does, until after the survey closes.

Basically, there is already an organized effort to manage expectations down.

Why one might ask?
STOP MANAGING EXPECTATIONS DOWN!!!!!! SWA is NOT a comparision, I'm sick and tired of DPA types shortchanging the upside of the "acceptable range" by using SWA!!!

DALPA reps make 92 hours a mo. on the highest equipment they can hold in any base. Add to that a $1,000.00/mo. stipend.

Assuming there are reps that are on the 75/76A that can hold 777A on paper, here is the difference.

767a @ 182hr @ 70 hrs (for oct) grosses $12,740

777a @ 217hr @ 92 hrs (always) grosses $20,872 with the stipend. Disclaimer: these are basic gross figures and don't include any other income i.e. green slips.
Anyone on trip loss cannot pick up flying over the limit. Anything they make over the limit (87 for vols.) has to go back to the union. Also, it is against all policy to pick up a green slip while on trip loss(i.e. volunters take home no more than 87 per month, if your union work days plus flying equal more than 87, the excess comes off of the union contribution to your hours) and if you can prove it has happened I will be right next to you at the disciplinary hearing/recall election.

What is the motivation for a guy to limit his own paycheck and not maximize the benefit for his own family? Is that how YOU would behave if in their position?

I imagine that very quickly we all would be fighting for restoration.
Do it. You do realize that the pay limit for all volunteers changes every year based on the total pay hours divided by the number of pilots per month right? Currently, the average hours PER pilot, PER month over the year has been 87. If we hit a recession that number will go down. You could drop an email to the MEC Treasurer or read the policy manual for more detailed info....... Or keep making stuff up, your choice.

Of course you are, if you read up on it you would be able to take actions to DEMOCRATICALLY change the current system, but as most of the "sentiment crowd", you have removed yourself from the conversation.
