Maybe SWAPA could show some LUV to the Air Tran guys and get rid of the separate pay scale during the next contract negotiations. That might show some solidarity within the pilot ranks. It will be interesting if SWAPA tries to take care of its new members.
Pilots will not be represented by SWAPA until they decide to move to the SWA side through a vacancy bid system. Pilot pay for the 717 will snap up to 737 rates before December 31, 2014. I can only assume that section 6 negotiations will bargain for the same pay rate for both equipment types.
