Many talked about our unions lack of aggression and management of expectations. Guys want our leaders to unite and lead us in an effort to improve our contract. Instead the group seems to feel that we are shown doom and gloom slides with no chance to substantially improve our contract.
FWIW, I kind of agree with our union leaders. We need to complete the contract survey to really understand what the group wants. However, our pilot group would LOVE to see some enthusiastic and aggressive speeches highlighting an effort to improve our lives. Maybe I should get my old boss to speak for us. He filled stadiums and made people buy a bunch of junk. Great guy...anyone want to buy some soap?? haha (I only flew for him...I didn't join the cult)
The JV stuff was brought up a couple times. Sorry George, I didn't ask about the Virgin stuff. I was too busy giggling in the back corner while watching others burst blood vessels on their faces!!! I think I even saw steam come out of one dudes ears!!

They said the growth with air france needs to be compared with the start of the JV, not just what we see right now. We have grown a lot since the beginning and they check the ratio's monthly.
Our small W2 compared to SWA was brought up a few times. One guy spoke about how our pay in 1992 is essentially the same 20 years later.....minus a bunch of benefits. Like I said.....guys are pi$$ed off and the message was delivered to our union loud and clear.
I've been to a few LEC meetings since coming to ATL. Usually only about 30-40 pilots show up. This place was filled....standing room only. Must have been close to 150 there.
